1987 American Girl Kirsten Trunk

Please look carefully at all photos. This is an authentic Pleasant Company trunk for Kirsten that was handmade in the midwest in 1987. The earliest trunks are especially fragile. This one is in fairly good shape but does have some chipped paint. I've tried to document as much of it as possible, but please note that there may be other spots I haven't captured.

This trunk has the first version of the feet that are more of a bun shape (not cylinders). It has the very loose free-form hand-painted style that was only done for the first couple of years. It also has the sharper, less rounded, corners.

This is a great collector's item, as Kirsten's trunk becomes harder and harder find. It will look amazing with some careful paint touchups.
